The food services office is located in the Educational Support and Distribution Center at 110 McDonald Drive. We employ 105 people and operate on a $4.3 million budget. We serve an average of 6,000 lunches and 1,200 breakfast meals per day. Therefore, federal and state regulations, as well as our local guidelines, govern our food service programs.
We have 14 preparation kitchens and nine satellite kitchens. This enables us to provide students with a fresh, quality product.
The food services department operates within guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture through the Child Nutrition Program administered by the State of Kansas Department of Education.
